The interesting thing about CouchSurfing is, that you can experience a different culture first-hand, because you can connect to people who actually live at the place you are visiting. They can tell and show you, what they find interesting about their place, and not just some touristic view.
I especially like hosting people, because it feels like doing a vacation at home when you show people around.
I usually accept a maximum of two people, because more would be a group and you can't really connect. Also, a minimum of two nights, because I don't just want to be a hotel, I want to get to know people.
Since we became a family, I don't really do CouchSurfing. We re-started CouchSurfing in 2019, hosting only families, but then came Covid-19.
